Rational approximations on toric varieties

Using the universal torsor method due to Salberger, we study approximation of a general fixed point by rational points on split toric varieties. We prove that under certain geometric hypothesis best approximations (in sense McKinnon-Roth's work) can be achieved curves passing through minimal degree, confirming conjecture McKinnon. These correspond, according Batyrev's terminology, centred primitive collections fan.
